This free, half-day event connects a broad community of environmental and earth scientists, social scientists, lawyers, management analysts, health experts, engineers, communicators and policy makers to collaborate across departments and disciplines.

Organized by

 established the Initiative for a Sustainable Earth (ISE) to connect the university's sustainability efforts (including under a new, cross-disciplinary umbrella.

The ISE aims to foster partnerships and programs from the local to the global level - in the Commonwealth of Virginia, the nation, and the world. 

The Initiative for a Sustainable Earth (ISE) is managed by a Planning Committee, which includes the following members:
